Hey fanwarriors.
So, this post is late... again. I may need to change the dates for when I'll post to approximations instead of exact dates, because I can't do exacts. Sorry.
Now, I've been busy with school and stuff, so I haven't had time to post in awhile. Additionally, this was supposed to be a life and death post, but I think this will be a depression support thing instead. I dunno yet.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
~9/1: WAKE UP GREEN DAY
~ UM, IDK IF THERE ARE ANY BIRTHDAYS, SO...
~THAT'S IT
Ehehehehe, I couldn't remember any announcements, so sorry...
Okay, Let's go into mah speech:.
WARNING: THIS COVERS SERIOUS TOPICS, SO BE WARNED
Death is going to happen to all of us. One day we're all going to go to sleep and never wake up in this world again. Your beliefs determine where you believe you go next, but as of now there is no scientific proof.
If this is going to happen to all of us, why are we so frightened, so scared of the beyond? Maybe it has to do with our love for life, our love for being in the present, being aware and in control. Maybe it has to do with the fact that you feel accepted, or at peace, and feel like you never have to leave.
Then again, life can be like different things. I prefer to compare it to a flame. it can impact so many other depending on how you choose to use it-- your life can warm up another's, or snuff out someone else's. On the other hand, it is a flame, if someone tries to put it out- and I mean tries- they can succeed, because a flame can be easily put out with a blow. Yours can too, if your not careful, so use is wisely.
Also, I think of lives as pieces of glass. They can cut at others, and shape them into what you want them to be, but the same could happen to you. You could make a difference with a single swipe, or be shattered in a drop. Think about it. A drop , and a life gone. Shattered like what would happen to those who love you.
Depression isn't fun. It's not a game, played by school kids. People don't hurt themselves because they want to, you know. They do it because they want to feel the pain or burden that they feel like they've caused others. Just because someone has a rich, loving family doesn't mean they're subject to depression, they could have it too, you know.
Be careful about what you say to others. It could shatter that piece of glass, or snuff out that flame. You don't know what effect it could have, how much it hurts to feel like a burden and a pain. Helpless and useless. Don't make them feel that pain over again. Just because they don't fear death doesn't mean they want to die. They might still have that fight inside of them, that spark that keeps them motivated.
You can have a positive effect. Actually listen to what they have to say. Don't make a joke, because it is't, it's so much more than that.
If you have depression, are suicidal, have any type of mental disorder: Put away the knife, the gun, those pills. Put away the note and go outside. Take a break, observe everything. YOU are loved. YOU can make a difference. YOU may not be perfect, but nobody is, so don't compare. PLEASE talk to someone you know, someone you love and trust. I love you for who you are, so stop faking the smiles, stop acting like your okay, and start showing people your true self, the one you hide, because how will you get better if nobody knows? Be the flame, the shard of glass. If you really need help, click here. Also, Black Veil Brides and Sleeping with Sirens are bands that discus bullying, and are realistic. I suggest listening to them.
If anyone talks to you about a sensitive topic, don't make a joke. That only hurts worse. Help them, comfort them, genuinely care. Be the person that keeps them alive.
Bye
