Hai people. I found another great book, that I wish to tell you about. Its name is Hollow City and is the second novel of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (an obvious pseudonym if you ask me). It leaps off from whereMiss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children left off- when the group of peculiar children are leaving the island. After that it's a fast-paced blur.
The few peculiars must travel to London or another loop in order to save Miss Peregrine, who was trapped in bird form. The hollowgasts are on their trail and only Jacob can save the group time and time again. Along the way, you meet more peculiars, both human and animal.
The book was terrific, with PLENTY of Jacob/ Emma action. However, I must say, Enoch got on my nerves big time. He was rude to EVERYONE (but mostly Jacob) and went off crushing all hopes of saving Miss Peregrine. Hugh saves all of their butts time and time again; Millard helps out with finding all secret meanings in The Tales; Bronwyn is the motherly figure, who replaces Miss P and takes care of Claire and Olive; there is chemistry between Fiona and Hugh- and it is very sweet; and do I need to say any amazing things about Jacob and Emma? I don't think I can say enough without spoiling anything. Oh and Horace- how could I forget the predictable boy (pun intended). Basically he goes around sprouting Gypsies futures and claiming he saw EVERYTHING that they were going through in a dream.
THANK YOU SO MUCH RANSOM RIGGS FOR WRITING THIS FANTASTIC BOOK! I do not think I can recover from how stunned this book left me. Now I have to wait for the next book, but i think it will be worth it! NOW GO AND READ IT RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND!!!!!!!!
